2024 CMAS World Championship Finswimming Open Water
This renowned competition will take place in the stunning waters of the Bay of Carry-le-Rouet. The Rouet Beach, a mix of sand and pebbles, provides an idyllic swimming setting with turquoise waters and steep cliffs, where no fewer than 343 swimmers from 21 countries will compete in three categories:

Rouet Beach: Ideal for the Competition
Open to the Marseille bay in a natural setting sheltered from prevailing winds, Rouet Beach is perfectly suited to host a large-scale open water finswimming event in accordance with the regulations of the international federation (CMAS). The surrounding areas are freely accessible to spectators, allowing them to easily follow the races.
Additionally, located just a 5-minute walk from the accommodation site, the location enables teams to be completely self-sufficient in their movements without needing vehicles.
It’s also important to note that water quality is a key aspect of this competition. Throughout the year, the Bouches-du-Rhône departmental analysis laboratory conducts water samples from swimming areas to determine the water quality in the region. These results are available on the government website: Baignades-santé-gouv.
